FAQ

What should I pack?

Planning what to wear on your cruise holiday is easy. You should keep in mind three types of clothing: casual shipboard attire or day wear; conservative resort wear for sightseeing or shopping; and evening wear. Here’s a few general tips: We recommend low-heeled, comfortable shoes for walking around the ship during the day; ashore we recommend comfortable walking shoes, as well as a hat and sunscreen. When visiting museums, mosques, temples and churches it is appropriate (and in many cases mandatory) to dress conservatively. Women should wear trousers or skirts that cover the knees, sleeveless tops and shorts are not permitted. If your cruise takes you to Alaska or Northern Europe we suggest you also pack a jacket and a couple of sweaters.

Attire

Evenings onboard Celebrity Cruises feature two types of attire:

Evening Chic is your night to shine in your holiday best, and will be featured once on cruises of up to 6 nights and twice on cruises of 7 nights or longer. Women should feel comfortable wearing a cocktail dress skirt, trousers or smart jeans with an elegant top and men should feel comfortable wearing trousers or smart jeans with a dress shirt, button-down shirt or sweater with an optional jacket or blazer.

Smart Casual attire can be enjoyed every other night of your cruise and on evenings where Evening Chic is the theme if you wish to eat in the Oceanview Café buffet style restaurant onboard. Women should feel comfortable wearing skirt, trousers or jeans with a casual top. Men should feel comfortable wearing trousers or jeans with a top that has sleeves.

Please note: T-shirts, swimsuits, tank tops, baseball caps and poolwear are not allowed in the Main Dining Room or speciality restaurant at any time. Shorts and flip flops are not allowed in the evening hours.

Smart casual and above dress code standards will be enforced in the main dining and specialty restaurants, and in the Main Theatre during all other evening hours.

Casual Explorer’s Day Wear

Lightweight, comfortable clothing suited for walking/hiking.

This includes:

• Lightweight or cotton trousers and shorts.
• Lightweight short sleeved and long sleeved shirts such as polo shirts and cotton T-shirts, lightweight rain jacket/wind breaker and sweatshirt.

• Comfortable walking shoes or lightweight hiking boots, and waterproof sandals for wet landings.

• Two or more bathing suits, as well as extra sunblock, sun hats, sunglasses and other types of sun protection

Can a special request be guaranteed?

If you have a special request, please give details in writing to your travel agent at the time of booking. While our suppliers and we will endeavour to meet reasonable special requests, we regret that we cannot guarantee that we or the supplier will be able to do so. Not meeting any special request for any reason will not be a breach of contract. If a special request can only be met at an additional cost, that cost will either be invoiced prior to departure or will be payable locally. Unless specifically agreed by us in writing at the time of booking, we cannot accept any booking which is conditional on a special request being satisfied. Such bookings will be treated as “normal” bookings subject to the above comments on special requests.

What about electrical equipment and laundry?

The onboard voltage is 110/220 AC (maximum 1500 watts) so please take any necessary adapters. Hair -dryers are provided in all staterooms throughout the Celebrity fleet. Laundry and dry cleaning services are available on a 24 hour service. Prices will vary by garment type. Please note: It is no longer mandatory to carry electrical equipment in your hand luggage as it can now be carried in check in baggage.

Travelling With Children

Infants sailing on a cruise/Cruisetour must be at least 6 months old as of the first day of the cruise/Cruisetour. However, for Transatlantic, Transpacific, Hawaii, and selected South American and other selected cruises and/or Cruisetours, the infant must be at least 12 months old as of the first day of the cruise/ Cruisetour. Denial of boarding for infants who do not satisfy these minimum age requirements may also result in the denial of boarding for one or more guests sailing with that infant. No refunds or other compensation shall be due from the cruise line to anyone as a result of the denial of boarding to underage infant or other accompanying guests. If a child is cruising under your supervision and exhibits dangerous and disruptive behavior (i.e. excessive drunkenness, fighting, verbal abuse of a staff member, unruly behaviour, vandalism in any public areas, etc.) the parent/guardian will be held accountable. Children or infants less than 3 years of age cannot participate in the Children’s Programmes which are restricted to age 3 – 17 years inclusive.
The programme is available for 3 -17 year olds, divided into 4 age groups:
• ShipmatesSM (3 – 5 years)
• CadetsSM (6 – 8 years)
• EnsignsSM (9 – 11 years)
• Teens (12 – 17 years)
Swimming activities are not supervised and no child or infant is allowed to enter pool wearing diapers (nappies). Children can only swim under their parent/guardian’s supervision. Please note that at any point in the process it is at the Master/Hotel Director/General Manager’s discretion that any child and their parent/guardian be disciplined or disembarked from the ship.

Facilities for Families

We welcome families on all our ships and are pleased to offer activities on board for children. We respectfully ask parents not to allow their children to play uncontrolled on deck, in the lounges or on the dance floors, especially during the evening. Children are not allowed in the casinos. Pack-N-Plays are available for babies, but please note these will limit the floor space available in your stateroom. Babysitting can usually be arranged (at the applicable hourly rate) providing crew are available to provide this service.

Unaccompanied Minors

Celebrity’s minimum age to sail unaccompanied on sailings originating in North America is twenty-one (21). The minimum age to sail unaccompanied on sailings from South America, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand is eighteen (18). Celebrity Cruises retains the right, on rare occasions, to raise the minimum age to sail unaccompanied on any sailing when local laws require or permit such a modification. For voyages originating in North America, no guest younger than the age twenty-one (21) will be assigned to a stateroom unless accompanied in the same stateroom by an adult twenty-one (21) years old or older. A guest’s age is established upon the first date of sailing. This age limit will be waived for children sailing with their parents or guardians in connecting staterooms; for underage married couples. Certain other restrictions and conditions will apply; such as compliance with the age twenty-one (21) alcohol policy, and proof of marriage for underage couples required. An individual’s age on the date of sailing determines his or her status for the entire cruise vacation.

What about guests with special needs?

Celebrity Cruises cannot accept guests who will have entered their 24th week of pregnancy by the beginning of, or at any time during, the cruise or Cruisetour. A physician’s “Fit to Travel” note is required prior to sailing, stating how far along (in weeks) the guest’s pregnancy will be at the beginning of the cruise and confirming that the guest is in good health and not experiencing a high-risk pregnancy. You must ensure that you are medically and physically fit for travel and that such travelling will not endanger yourself or anyone else. At the time of booking (or as soon as possible if the condition arises after booking) you must tell your travel agent in writing about any medical or physical condition which will or may require medical treatment or attention during your cruise or which may or will affect your cruise in any way (including your use of any services or facilities.) Please provide as much information as possible. Some of our ships have staterooms designated for guests with physical disabilities, and these are shown on the relevant deck plan. Guests who use wheelchairs must provide their own collapsible wheelchair and may find certain areas of the ship inaccessible. Certain conditions (for example, use of tenders) may prevent guests with wheelchairs from going ashore at certain ports of call. Guests affected by a disability or medical condition must be self-sufficient or travel with someone who can provide all necessary assistance. We regret we must reserve the right to refuse to allow anyone to travel who, in our reasonable opinion, is physically or mentally unfit to travel or will or may require care beyond that which any travelling companion or we ourselves can reasonably provide.

What must I not take with me?

You must not pack in any luggage or bring on board any item specified as dangerous or illegal (e.g., guns, explosives, drugs, animals, flammable items, etc.). In addition, we may specify other items, which you must not bring with you and may also refuse to allow you to take on board any item, which we consider to be inappropriate. If we or the Master of the ship have reason to believe that any stateroom may contain any item or substance which should not have been brought on board, the Master or an authorised officer has the right to enter and search the stateroom concerned and seize any such item or substance. Special Note: Please ensure that any sharp items, including but not limited to scissors, razor blades, nail clippers, tweezers and knitting needles, are packed in your check in luggage and not your hand luggage.

What are the passport and visa requirements for my cruise?

You are responsible for bringing all travel documents, such as passports, visas and proof of citizenship, etc., required for boarding the vessel in the country in which you embark on the ship; and for entry or re-entry into the country in which you disembark. When evaluating what travel documents you need, bear in mind that if you travel through other countries before either embarking on the ship or disembarking, additional travel documentation requirements may apply. All non–U.S. citizens must bring a valid passport and may be required to show a valid visa to disembark or re embark at ports of calls covered by your cruise. All guests are required to provide Celebrity Cruises with a photocopy of the registration page of his or her passport as well as emergency contact information in order to provide an accurate manifest for port authorities, immigration and/or vessels. Your passport will be held by the Pursers Office and returned to you at the end of your cruise. All guests intending to travel to the USA from the 26th October 2005 on the Visa Waiver Programme (VWP) will be required to present a valid Machine Readable Passport. In addition, children travelling on VWP will no longer be eligible to travel to the USA on a parent’s passport and will be required to hold their own valid Machine Readable Passport. Note: The expiration date of your passport must not occur within six months of the scheduled termination date of your voyage.

Why is having the right documentation important?

It is the sole responsibility of the guest to identify all travel, inoculation and health requirements and obtain and have available when necessary the appropriate valid travel documents, such as passports and visas, inoculation documents, such as Yellow Fever certificates, and other health requirements. Guests who do not possess the proper documentation may be prevented from boarding the flight or ship or from disembarking or entering a country and may be subject to fines. If, as a result of your lack of proper documentation, a fine or other cost is incurred by Celebrity Cruises, you agree to indemnify Celebrity Cruises for such expenses.

VERY IMPORTANT: No refunds will be given to individuals who fail to bring proper documentation. Please check with a travel agent, government agencies, embassies, consulates, your physician or local health departments to determine travel and health documentary requirements. Guests under the age of 16 who wish to go ashore unaccompanied will be required to have a consenting parent, guardian or other responsible adult with them at the gangway to provide their signature as authorization.

Embarkation Forms

In order to make your boarding process as simple as possible, we offer an online method of providing information we need before you can embark on the vessel. Just visit www.celebritycruises.com to fill out your embarkation forms.
Note: Applicable laws and regulations may require Celebrity Cruises to collect and pass on to governmental and other authorized bodies certain personal and other details related to you. If you fail to supply the details requested fully and accurately, you may not be permitted to board the ship. If, as a result of your failure to comply with the foregoing, Celebrity incurs any fines, surcharges or other financial penalty, you will be responsible for reimbursing us accordingly.

Travel Insurance

All international guests should have fully comprehensive travel insurance valid from the date of deposit being made. We suggest you discuss with your travel agent the various insurance policies that are available. Policies can be purchased that provide protection in the event of trip cancellation, interruption, personal illness, injury, medical fees or damage to property. Verification of your travel insurance policy may be required by Celebrity Cruises Inc. or its agents.

Transfer Programme

International guests may choose to make their own air travel arrangements and may wish to buy a ticket to board the Celebrity Cruises transfer to the ship. If you buy a Celebrity Cruises transfer, we’ll meet you outside the customs area, (or other nominated meeting point), after you have collected your luggage and show you to our transfer bus. When reserving this service, please remember we need your flight arrival information to meet you. Transfers may be arranged through the local Celebrity Cruises office and must be booked at least two weeks prior to sailing. For Cruisetour only passengers, transfers are included except in Vancouver. All Celebrity Cruises prices are subject to change.

Cruise Documents

Guest cruise documents provide information relevant to the sailing. Usually, documents will be received by the travel agent 20 – 50 days prior to sailing, assuming cruise elements are finalized and payments made. Group documents may require additional steps and will normally be received by the travel agent inside of 30 days of sailing. Documentation for some bookings will be provided electronically via the Internet (eDocs) for travel agency access. An additional production and shipping fee is required for cruise document reprinting. Documents may not be provided in advance for bookings finalized the week of sailing guest will obtain pertinent details at the pier prior to boarding and on board the ship. Regardless of document status, no one will be allowed passage unless his or her name appears on the ship’s guest manifest.

When can I board the ship?

It is the guest’s responsibility to arrive on time. Please check with your travel agent to confirm boarding and departure times. Due to new government regulations requiring cruise lines to submit final departure manifests at least 60 minutes prior to sailing, guests are requested to complete Online Check-in no later than three days prior to their cruise. If you have not completed Online Check-in, you will be required to complete this process at the pier two hours prior to the published sailing time. Please note Xpress Pass guests (checked-in online) are required to be at the pier and checked-in no later than 90 minutes prior to the published sailing time or you may not be permitted to board. Please review your travel documents carefully for your boarding time. No refunds will be given to guests who fail to bring the proper travel documents or show up late. Note: For security reasons, guests are not allowed to bring visitors on board Celebrity vessels in any port. Guests on Cruisetours will be met at the ship or the airport by the Tour Director and will check in from there.

What about dining?

Celebrity gives you a choice of dining preferences. You have a choice of two seatings for meals in the restaurant as shown on our booking form. Please request your preferred seating and table size at the time of booking. Seatings are allocated on a first come, first served basis so you are advised to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. We cannot accept any bookings which are conditional on your preferred seating being or becoming available before departure. If you cancel because your preferred seating is not available (whether or not this was confirmed at the time of booking), our normal cancellation charges will apply. Seating requests cannot be guaranteed. Your table number will be confirmed when you board the ship at the start of your cruise. Dining times may vary slightly on port days due to shore excursion departures.

When and where can I dine on board?

There are two sittings for meals in the restaurant and if you have a preference, you should make this known at the time of booking. Please note that seating requests cannot be guaranteed, but every effort will be made to meet your request. The normal times for meals are:

* Reservations are strongly encouraged in order to avoid a delay in seating, and can be made pre-cruise or onboard with the Maitre‘d.

Seating times may vary depending on ship and itinerary by approximately 30 minutes. If you wish to be more flexible, breakfast and lunch are also served on deck. Please check your Daily Program for times and also locations. Food on board is included in the cost of your cruise price; however a cover charge (Up to US$45 per guest) will apply for Specialty Restaurants on Celebrity ships. Reservations for Specialty Restaurants can be made online via www.celebritycruises.com, up to 4 days prior to your sailing date or once you are on board. No guests under 12 will be permitted in the Specialty Restaurants.

Cruisetour Dining: Food and beverage on the land portion of a Cruisetour is not included in the Cruisetour price. Meal service is available on the Wilderness Express traincar in Alaska and at all hotels and lodges in all destinations visited. Some meals are included on segments of the Canadian Rockies Cruisetours as indicated in the Cruisetour programming.

24-Hour Onboard Room Service

Special morning meals include Continental breakfast served, on request, in your stateroom between 6:30 am and 10:00am. Simply advise your stateroom attendant the night before by completing the request form in your stateroom. If you’re staying in a suite and would like a full breakfast served to you in your suite between 7:30am and 10:00am, notify your butler/stateroom attendant the night before by filling out the breakfast request form. In addition, during restaurant luncheon and dinner hours, you may order room service from the restaurant menu. Ask your butler or stateroomattendant for the menus of the day.

What about special diets?

Celebrity Cruises can accommodate the following special diets on board: vegetarian, diabetic, low fat, low – sodium, low cholesterol diets. Other special diets such as Kosher meals, gluten free and lactose free may be available upon advanced request. Note: Kosher meals are pre packed and are only available for dinner in the main restaurant. Please submit your dietary request in writing giving as much detail as possible as to your particular requirements. We will endeavour to accommodate reasonable requests, although we cannot guarantee we will be able to meet requirements. Please ask your travel agent for further information.

Smoking Policy

For your comfort and enjoyment, our ships are designated as non-smoking; however, we recognize that some of our guests smoke. Therefore, cigarette, cigar and pipe smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas of the ship. Smoking is not permitted in any dining venue, casino, theatre, lounge, hallway, elevator, or corridor. This policy includes smoking-like products such as electronic cigarettes. Smoking is not permitted inside anystateroom and on any stateroom veranda. If you are in violation of this policy, a cleaning fee of US$250 USD will be applied to your SeaPass® account and you may be subject to further action pursuant to the “Consequences Section” of the Guest Conduct Policy. Cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobacco must be properly disposed of and never thrown overboard. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase, possess or use tobacco onboard. Additionally, there is a non-smoking policy on all components of the land tour portion of all Celebrity Cruises Cruisetour products. We appreciate your understanding and adherence.

What about alcoholic drinks?

The minimum drinking age for all alcoholic beverages on Celebrity Cruises ships sailing from North America is 21. However, on ships in Europe, South America, Asia and Australia, where the legal drinking age is 18, a parent or legal guardian who is sailing with his or her son(s) and/ or daughter(s) who is between the ages of 18 to 20, may sign a waiver allowing the 18 to 20 year old to consume alcoholic beverages. The 18 to 20 year old guest must agree to comply with Celebrity’s policies, including among other things, agreeing to not provide alcoholic beverages to any other person, regardless of age. Restrictions apply and this policy is subject to change without notice. For purposes of complying with the minimum drinking age requirements, a guest’s age is established upon boarding at the beginning of the cruise vacation. If a guest celebrates their birthday during the cruise vacation, and thereby becomes of age to consume alcohol, the guest may thereafter ask the Guest Relations Manager to modify ship’s records to permit their consumption of alcohol during the remainder of the vacation. The guest will be required to appear at Guest Relations to present a valid government-issued form of identification to permit verification of their age. Celebrity Cruises reserves the right to revoke or otherwise restrict drinking privileges of any guest, regardless of age. Even if all criteria are met, shipboard personnel may elect, and have the option to, not grant the waiver or any such drinking privileges. The waiver may not apply when the vessel is in certain territorial waters. Guests are not allowed to bring beer or hard liquor onboard for consumption or any other use. Guests wishing to bring personal wine onboard with them at the beginning of the cruise may do so, limited to two (2) bottles per stateroom, but when consumed in any shipboard restaurant, bar, or dining venue, each bottle shall be subject to a corkage fee of US$25.00. The only exception to this policy is on our “Wine Cruises,”. On the wine cruises, guests who book a company sponsored shore excursion are permitted to bring 2 bottles of wine per stateroom onboard on the day of the excursion. When consumed in any shipboard restaurant, bar or dining venue, each bottle will be subject to a US$25 corkage fee. Guests sailing on the Celebrity Xpedition are not permitted to bring ANY alcoholic beverages, including wine, onboard. The government of Ecuador does not allow it. Any alcohol will be confiscated before leaving Quito, Ecuador. If you receive a bottle of wine that was purchased from our Bon Voyage Gift selection, no corkage fee will apply if the bottle is enjoyed in the dining room or any public area. If you receive a bottle from an outside vendor and/or travel agent, and the bottle was not purchased through our Bon Voyage selection, then a US$25 corkage fee per bottle will apply if you wish to enjoy the wine in the dining room or any other public area. The fee will be applied to your onboard account. Alcoholic beverages that are purchased in ports of calls or from the onboard shops will be stored by the ship and delivered to guest’s staterooms on the last day of the sailing. Consecutive Cruise and Back to Back guests will have their purchases delivered on their last (2nd week) cruise.

What are the gambling facilities on board?

There is a fully equipped Casino onboard each of our ships where you can play popular games such as blackjack or roulette as well as trying your luck on the slot machines. Guests under the age of 18 are not permitted in the casino at any time. Guests are advised that the use of any video recording equipment is strictly prohibited.

How do I pay for onboard purchases?

All Celebrity ships operate on a “cashless” system. All charges for onboard purchases, shore excursions and land tours are in US dollars. Validate your Celebrity Signature Account with your Visa®, MasterCard®, Diners Club International® or American Express® Card, or sign for payment by cash or travellers cheque. Then you can sign all onboard services and purchases to your account. At the end of your cruise, you’ll receive a completely itemized statement. We cannot accept personal cheques, and only U.S. currency is accepted aboard Celebrity’s ships. An ATM is available on board all Celebrity ships. You can obtain cash by using your MasterCard®, Visa® or American Express® Card. Both cash and credit cards can be used on land portions of Cruisetours.

How do I find out about shore excursions?

To get the most enjoyment out of your visit to a port of call, we recommend you select one of our shore excursions, which have been planned by our travel experts and are recommended by the authorities for the particular ports. Alternatively you are free to explore and make your own arrangements at each port of call. Shore excursion details are availableonline at our website: www.celebritycruises.com

When do I arrange for shore excursions?

The staff at the Shore Excursions Desk will be happy to provide you with information and book your excursions. The cost will be charged to your Signature account. Please note some excursions are subject to minimum numbers and may be cancelled if requirements are not met. Proof of certification is required for all scuba tours. All shore excursions are pre-bookable in advance via our website www.celebritycruises.com. These must be booked at least 4 days prior (10 days for land excursions on Alaska Cruisetours) to your sailing date. Your full name as it appears on your passport must be given at the time of reservation. Celebrity Cruises is not responsible for any injuries or losses sustained whilst guests are ashore, whether on organised excursions or otherwise.

What happens if I am ill on board ship?

Professional medical services are available for a fee. At least one licensed physician and two nurses are normally in attendance on all Celebrity cruises. Charges are in US dollars for all medical services. These charges are considerably higher than medical costs in your home country. We strongly recommend that you have a fully comprehensive travel insurance policy to cover any such eventualities. The medical facility provides motion sickness tablets upon request.

Gratuities

Celebrity Crusies
If you have not pre-paid your tips/service charges, for your convenience, we will automatically add this for your restaurant and stateroom services to your onboard SeaPass account on a daily basis in the following amounts, which may be adjusted at your discretion: $14.50 per person per day for guests in staterooms ($15.00 per person per day for guests in Concierge Class and AquaClass staterooms and $18.00 per person per day for guests in Suites).
A standard service charge of 18% or 20% is automatically added to the price of drinks from the cocktail lounges, bars and beauty treatments depending on the services.
* Please note that tips/service charges may be shared with other staff members depending on the particular service requirement.
Please note that the tips/service charges can either be prepaid or will be automatically added to your onboard SeaPass account. The tips/service charges are discretionary and therefore the amounts can be adjusted when onboard. Pre paid tips/service charges will be calculated at the time of booking.

Celebrity Xpedition, Celebrity Xperience, Celebrity Xploration
All onboard gratuities and those for the naturalists who accompany guests on all the island visits are included in the price of the cruise.
This covers all Service Personnel including the waiters and head waiters who look after you in the dining rooms, housekeeping staff, your Butler and Stateroom Attendants.
Please note that some of our cruise holidays call exclusively upon EU ports of call and for such cruises we are required to charge VAT (value added tax) on certain onboard good and services depending on the VAT regulations of the home port country. Such VAT is charged on good and services at the point of sales and is subsequently paid over to the home port country. Non-EU residents may be able to reclaim VAT paid on physical goods when they depart from the EU, normally at the departure airport.

What do I need to do on the last night of the cruise?

Pack your bags and place them outside your stateroom door by 10pm. Your stateroom steward will give you tags for each piece of luggage. Please clearly write your name, home address and, where applicable, flight details on each tag. Carry fragile, important and valuable items with you. We recommend that you bring an overnight bag with you for your last night on board.

How should I prepare for customs/ immigration?

The Cruise Director will give detailed instructions about clearing customs and immigration during the departure talk on the last day of the cruise. We strongly recommend that you attend this important and informative talk.

When should I schedule my flight home?

Make sure you allow sufficient time; you need to give yourself several hours between the time you get off the ship and the time you need to board your flight home.

Contacting The Ship

Friends and family can reach guests on any Celebrity Cruises ship 24 hours a day via telephone simply by calling 001 732 335 3296. Callers must pay by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express). There is no charge for waiting or dialling time; charges begin when the caller connects to the ship. Please note, on Celebrity Xpedition Class ships to the Galapagos Islands, a telephone service is available in each stateroom for a reasonable fee. Details about contacting Celebrity Xpedition Class ships will be provided in the Guest Ticket Booklet. Alternatively, friends and family can e-mail you providing youhave an Internet e-mail account. Our Xcelerate high speed Internet is available on all Celebrity Cruises ships. Guests are able to purchase a per minute rate or an celerate internet package for different cruise durations up to five days prior to their cruise. Costs will be charged to your SeaPass® account. Please note that mobile phones with international capability may not work whilst a ship is at sea.

What should I do if my property is lost, delayed or damaged during my cruise?

If you discover the loss, delay or damage when on board, you must immediately report it to the Guest Relations Desk. The time limits for notifying any loss, delay or damage, and the maximum amount which will be payable by us or the supplier concerned, are as follows: During your cruise or whilst getting on or off the ship or using any services provided or arranged by us. Any damage or delay which is apparent must be notified to ourselves and the supplier of the service concerned (if it is not us) before or, at latest, at the time of departure from the ship or, for other services, whilst using or at the end of using those services. Any loss, damage or delay which is not apparent must be notified to ourselves and the supplier of the service concerned (if it is not us) within 15 days of departure from the ship or the end of your using the service in question. If you can prove that the damage, delay or loss was our fault or the fault of the supplier of a service we agreed to arrange as part of your cruise and was not your fault, we will compensate you for the loss or damage you can prove you have suffered as a result, subject to and in accordance with The Athens Convention. However, the maximum we will have to pay you for any damage, delay or loss in these circumstances is the most which is payable in respect of cabin luggage under The Athens Convention. This will also be the case where any property is damaged, delayed or lost whilst not on board or getting on or off the ship but using other services which form part of the cruise we have contractually agreed to provide. In all cases, you must give credit for payments received from any supplier in connection with your claim. You must also give us details of any relevant insurance cover you hold. In appropriate cases we are entitled to ask you to reduce your claim by the amount received from any insurance company.
